My Everyday Valentine

    This Valentine's Day series is full of super special things to do to celebrate this often over-commercialized holiday, but today is about making little things special. Most of the time its so easy to do and the payoff is huge. Khalil Gibran wrote, "...in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." How's that for a romantic Valentine's Day quote? 

    One of my favorite ways to make little things special is to leave a note and, with a bit of effort, you can take it a bit further too. This morning I got out a box of foam heart stickers we had in the craft closet and made a trail from our bedroom to the table. On the table was a hot cup of coffee and - what else? - a note. 

   With just a little forethought, something as everyday (literally) as a cup of coffee can become a bit more special. Instead of simply providing that much-needed morning jolt, you've also given someone a reason to smile and thats a valentine anyone can give.
